Antalya is in the list of most visited cities in the  world.Antalya in a town on the Mediterranean coast in southwestern Turkey, and the capital of the province of Antalya. On the steep coast, Antalya is surrounded by mountains. Development and investment in the 1970s began, the city has transformed into an international resort.

Kaleiçi, the restored historic center of town with its hotels, bars, clubs, restaurants and shopping, has much of its historic character, the restoration won the Golden Apple Award tourism.
The city includes sites with traces of Lycian, Hellenistic and Pamphylian, but especially Romans, Byzantines, Seljuk and Ottoman architecture and cultures.
Cumhuriyet Square, the main town square, on the occasion offers temporary open-air exhibitions and performances.
Kaleiçi, with its narrow streets of historic Turkish and Greek houses, the old center of Antalya is now mainly hotels, gift shops and bars. New hotels, such as the Sheraton are along the coast to the Konyaalti and Lara beaches.
